Jul 6, 2009: Dr. Christine Ziegler interviewed by ADVANCE for Occupational Therapy Practioners

Jan 25, 2009: The Rockland County Psychological Society and Dr. Karen Hebert present:
"Behavioral Disorders in Today’s Chilldren and Adolescents: A Panel Discussion"

Children today are not only coping with an ever increasing magnitude of life stressors, but are being raised in technological times in which individual play is relished (computer, video games, etc). These same children are consequently left with significant gaps and difficulties within the social realm, experience trouble navigating the social world, and with managing the anxiety that arises as a natural progression of these issues. Dr. Hebert will offer strategies to enhance resiliency and effective coping skills in today’s children and adolescents. Dr. Rauch will focus on the needs of children in order to gain adequate social skills and methods to effectively remediate social difficulties.

Together, these experts will offer an overview of and approach to ameliorating the effects of today’s world on the development of social and coping skills. A Question and Answer period will follow the presentations. This program is designed for those working or training in the mental health professions.
