The Hudson Valley Center for Cognitive Therapy (HVCCT) is currently seeking a psychologist to join our practice.\u00a0 The position is part-time with possible opportunity to transition to full-time, if desired.\u00a0 The HVCCT is a well -established clinical practice committed to providing high quality CBT.\u00a0 We are located in Nyack, NY in Rockland County, approximately one mile from the Tappan Zee Bridge and 25 miles north of Manhattan.<\/p>\n
Patient Population:<\/strong><\/p>\n We treat children, adolescents, adults, and couples.\u00a0 Primary areas of specialization of the practice are Mood and Anxiety Disorders.\u00a0 Most commonly our patients are seeking treatment for depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, and ADHD.\u00a0\u00a0 Other issues for which our patients often seek therapy are school\/work stress, relationship issues, and parent training.<\/p>\n Our Ideal Candidate<\/strong><\/p>\n We are looking for doctoral-level clinicians with a strong background in CBT and experience providing individual psychotherapy.\u00a0 The candidate should have a NY license (or will be licensed within the next 6 months).\u00a0 Competence and interest in working with children and adolescents is a plus, but is not required.\u00a0 We are seeking a clinician who has high initiative, excellent organization and time management skills, and an ability to work autonomously, while valuing collegiality and being part of a group.<\/p>\n Due to the COVID emergency, all our services are currently provided via telehealth.\u00a0 We are seeking a therapist who can provide teletherapy from her or his own space until we can reopen our office in Nyack.\u00a0<\/p>\n Our Offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n Pay is competitive and fee-for-service at a standard rate for the area.
