Now, after more than a year of remote learning and navigating restrictions and safety precautions many children and teens, as well as their parents, are understandably anxious about returning to school.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HVCCT psychologists are here to help children and their parents successfully navigate this transition back to the classroom.&nbsp; Our psychologists help children and their parents recognize signs of re-entry anxiety and share strategies that they can use to effectively manage the school year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of these strategies include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Discussing, understanding, and normalizing back-to-school anxiety<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Learning anxiety management and worry control techniques<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Rebuilding a connection to school and classmates<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Helping children face stressful school-based situations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Partnering with your child\u2019s school to be best prepared for the school year<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The psychologists at the HVCCT continue to be committed to helping our community deal with the anxiety and uncertainty associated with COVID-19 and its aftermath.
